Clinical Research Fellow
Dr Lemon graduated from the University of Southampton in 2008 and started her paediatric training in 2011, after doing a Masters at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She has had a longstanding interest in neurological conditions, neurodisability and global child health and developed an interest in research whilst doing her Masters degree. From 2012-2015, she combined academic with clinical training by undertaking an Academic Clinical Fellow post in the Institute of Infection and Global Health at the University of Liverpool, working on research related to paediatric encephalitis.
In 2015-2016, she spent a year working in Malawi (a small country in Africa), working both in a hospital and completing a research project involving translation, cross-cultural adaptation and field testing of two questionnaire tools to assess the impact of child disability.
Dr Lemon is currently one of the Neuromuscular Clinical Research Fellows at Alder Hey. She applied for the post to further her experience of clinical trials and paediatric neuromuscular conditions.
